Tim Ferriss, bestselling author of "The 4-Hour Workweek," initially had a different headline that didn't do so well. He then tested various headlines using Google advertising and found the winning headline: "The 4-Hour Workweek."

If you're writing a novel, the headline is important, but for nonfiction, it's 10 times more important.

Why?

Because with novels the title says little about the story (you don't want to give too much away), but with non-fiction books the title says everything.

I am therefore referring here primarily to non-fiction books.
