As you may know, at Femxa we like to be up to date and, in addition to working on research and development of new educational trends, we also dedicate time to taking an interest in the work of others.

With these two intentions, we were present at Expoelearning 2024, where we were able to play an active role in the Digital Corner space to inform you about our Corporate Learning line, and at the congress, moderating the round table on Lifelong Learning.

Read on to find out more about our activities at the key educational fair for the progress of e-learning in Spain.

Keynote presentations and activities at Expolearning 2024
Femxa's activity at the Expoelearning 2024 edition took place in the form of presentations, participation in a round table at the congress and in our nomination for the expoelearning awards. We tell you about it:

Nomination for the Expoelearning 2024 Awards
Through the FOLM Project we were nominated for the award for the "Best Training Project in the service of the SDGs". In this 22nd edition of the awards, the execution of the European FOLM project

(From Outdoors to Labour Market) was considered to become a finalist , which addressed one of the main educational challenges in Europe: early school leaving among young people and their lack of motivation to seek and find a job.

More information about this project and its nomination for the awards can be found on our corporate blog .

Roundtables and Expert Panels
Round tables are the most dynamic format to enjoy at a congress. In a compressed space of time, topics of interest to the audience are discussed in a varied way, by having people from various fields, who contribute different visions to the same problem, with the incentive that they are normally people who work in the sector and have the experience of their daily work to discern from a practical point of view the issues raised by the moderator.

The round tables that caught our attention the most were:

Learning experiences or how technologies will define the present and future of online education and training.
Presented by Juan Diego Pereiro, founder of the Trainers for the Future conference, he discussed how technology has been changing the way in which the relationship between the student, the content, the platforms and all their interactions is addressed. The Metaverse seems to be the solution to this and represents a further step towards improving the training experience and the relationship between student and teacher.

The key is to advance technologically to leave behind the telephone and videoconferencing and move to immersive environments in which to establish communication and put educational content into practice. Participants included Miguel Angel López, head of change management projects at MAPFRE; Natalia Orenes, head of technological innovation for teaching learning at Universidad Europea; Nuria Fernández, Online Learning Specialist at KENES DIGITAL; and Virginia Rodríguez, CEO of 8 Belts.
