How to turn a lazy blog post idea into viral content

Post by Abdur12 »

On a blog, a good idea for a post is useless if the execution is poor. You can start from a “weak” sketch and turn it into viral content if you take into account the success factors.

2 days ago I was a bit short on ideas for new posts. I asked for help on Twitter to get some suggestions and ideas. It was great because I received a lot of tweets that are now documented in my list for new posts. Thanks to Octavio Curiel's tweet (his Twitter account: @OctaviOSuite ) I am writing this post.

Turning weak ideas into powerful posts

In startups as in blogs, the idea is useless if there is no good execution. A sketch that may seem too weak and boring has the potential to become a viral post. Content is important, but there are also other factors that have an important weight in the success of a blog.

1. Ask for suggestions from readers and followers : It's good journalist email addresses to look up from time to time. You can't know everything and you won't always have the best ideas. Suggestions from readers and followers can bring new aspects that you hadn't considered. In addition, you create anticipation and curiosity to see how your post turns out.

2. A Twitter-friendly headline : I repeat until the last one has heard. 80% of the success of a post is in the headline. Creating memorable headlines for Twitter is an important step to “push” the tweet towards the first retweets. With a bit of luck, you will receive one from an account with many followers and you will see how the visits to your blog will come in.

3. Good timing : Although I made up the word, there is a “blog prime-time” for launching and publishing posts. For my own blog, the best time by far is between 11pm and midnight. I don’t think it’s only related to the fact that the followers of this blog go to bed late. Many people browse Twitter in front of the TV.

4. Professional photo or image : If you want to avoid lawsuits for your blog, it is not a good idea to take the first photo you find on Google. “Free-to-use” image banks always contain the risk that someone has uploaded a photo that is not theirs. It is better to use your own photos or create images with a basic program. Otherwise, you can also use paid services such as Fotolia or others.
