Recently, while surfing the net, I discovered a website dedicated to leisure and, as we are already keeping an eye on summer, leisure and free time, I started to find out what it offered. That page is Gofans : I signed up and entered the draw for a pair of tickets to a music festival in Malaga. I had no other intention than to see how it worked and learn about its business model (I can't fix this, ha ha ha). When I won a prize in one of the draws I entered, I decided to investigate a little more and share this initiative with you.

This is an interview that we were particularly looking forward to doing, since this Gofans project has all the elements to be a success and that is why we thought it would be interesting to share it with you so that you can learn about it and appreciate it.
Asier Elorriaga and Ibon Pache are entrepreneurs from Bilbao who, despite the bolivia telegram phone numbers difficult times we live in, have launched Gofans, a business project based on leisure, channelled through the Internet and which we found very interesting. In addition, we "devirtualised" Asier at the IX edition of Betabeers held at the Euskalduna Palace on 8 May, where we had our first contact and discovered this great project which we will now present to you.

Asier What is Gofans?
It is a website dedicated to leisure, where we want to promote all kinds of leisure events and not just talk about them, but give our subscribers the chance to attend these events thanks to our ticket raffles. We also offer the possibility of publishing and promoting your own events (concerts, matches, monologues...) and finally we offer a series of discounts provided by our partners. We want to go from a good online experience to a better offline experience .
What made you decide to start this company? Have you identified a niche or an opportunity?
The first thing that led me to take the plunge was the desire I had for a long time to be the one who took on and had 100% of the responsibilities of my work, making my own mistakes and having my own successes. And obviously I saw a possible niche since there were no pages dedicated to leisure that focused on the subject like we do, there are similar things but not the same.
Before this project, did you dominate the world of the Internet as you do now?
No way! Before, I knew a few things about marketing (as a result, I've made mistakes in a few things, you know, ignorance is bold), and now I don't know much, but I can defend myself.
Have you had any help in getting this company up and running?
Bilbo ekintza has helped us in the preparation of the business plan, as well as in providing advice and in getting us an office for our start-up, the provincial council has given us a self-employment subsidy for people under 30, and the SPRI has partially subsidised the costs of creating the website. And we have also had a lot of selfless help through collaborations, advice, counsel, from friends and people like you, who believe in the benefits of collaboration between people.
Have you had external investors or have you used any crowdfunding platform for the birth of Gofans?
We have received a proposal from a Business Angels Forum, and we are evaluating it, but we are open to hearing any type of proposal.
I guess it won't be profitable right now, I imagine you're in the dreaded "desert crossing" of every new business, do you expect it to be profitable in the short term?
I hope so and we need it, because “living on air” is complicated.
