Abstract: In this research work, the authors use nail polish removers as a case study to explain green chemistry principles and ethics on sustainable living. The authors measured the proportions of active ingredients in a number of nail polish removers and evaluated their toxicity. The authors stated that lethality is only one of the components of toxicological assessments; exposure pathways are important as well.
