Summer is just around the corner and, with so many changes in the weather, we may be unsure about how to orient our diet, as we don't know whether to continue eating stews or switch to gazpacho.

In summer we tend to do more outdoor activities as temperatures are higher and we have more daylight hours. We also sweat more often and if we don't hydrate properly we run the risk of becoming dehydrated.

What are the symptoms of dehydration?
Dry mouth.
Headache.
Increased thirst.
Nausea.
Confusion.
Dark urine.
To prevent our body from having poor cognitive functioning, poor thermoregulation and to be able to keep our physical functions in perfect condition, we need something as simple as drinking water.

Guidelines to maintain your hydration
Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink water. Thirst is a sign that we need water.

Drink water before, during and after any physical activity or sport.
