UX Process Phases in Launching a Website

Post by nrumohammad0 »

The UX team needs to first have clear business goals to start creating hypotheses of how users might move around the site.

At the beginning of a project, the market is always studied and a competitor analysis is done; the research phase is fundamental for the collection and analysis of data, the identification of trends in a specific sector, identifying the KSP (Key Selling Point) that distinguish competitors, and so on.

The definition of the User Persona through surveys, interviews and list of paraguay consumer email focus groups helps us outline the profile of the ideal customer who will visit the site: what will they immediately notice, what their interests are, from which devices they access the web and which visual elements or types of content will be able to extend their stay on our page, or lead them to abandon it.

At the same time, the UX department will start to outline the information architecture , or what the hierarchy of content is on each page.

Of great help is the Card Sorting methodology : a research technique to discover how users think the contents of a web portal should be organized. The clearest example is the navigation menu . To apply Card Sorting, you need to create a series of cards that represent the different content options, select the users and ask them to organize those cards in the way that is most logical for them. Working with User Personas suited to our business to work on Card Sorting will allow us to obtain very useful results.
