Facebook confirms reappearance of old leak containing data of 530 million users

Facebook user data has been leaked for free again, but now includes phone number associations.

LThe nightmare of the 2019 Facebook user data leak has resurfaced.
Alon Gal, chief technology officer at cybercrime firm Hudson Rock , discovered on Saturday that the leaked data had been posted on a free forum.
What data and which countries have been affected?
Putting the story into context, the security breach stems from a vulnerability that Facebook corrected in August 2019 , so all the information would correspond to that period, so it would not affect those users who have modified some of that data.
However, given the type of data, it is assumed that the finland business email database vast majority have had their information exposed beyond the walls of the social network, and the main value of the leaked data is the association of telephone numbers with identities.
The leaked information includes full names, phone numbers, IDs, addresses, email addresses and other information from more than 500 million accounts from 106 countries, including:
13 million from Mexico
10 million from Spain
2 million from Argentina
32 million from the United States
11 million from the UK
6 million from India
The specialized media Business Insider claims that it has reviewed a sample of the leaked data and has found matches with what they claim is real data .
The leak is so extensive that even Mark Zuckerberg's private phone number has been leaked among the information . However, what is most striking is that the leaked information has been circulating freely on the Internet since last January .
