First, enter your company name and address.
Now there are two possibilities:
Either Google finds your company and shows it to you as a suggestion. Google has already defined categories here that you just have to select.Don't worry - once your profile has been set up, you can change the category later or add further categories. However, it is also important to choose appropriate subcategories in order to describe your service as precisely as possible.To clarify, the following example:
"Pizza Express" is a pure ordering and delivery service without a restaurant operation. The appropriate category would be "pizza delivery" with the additional category "pizza to go" instead of the more general categories "delivery service" or "takeaway food".
Once you have filled in all the information, a "Send" button will appear at the bottom of the page. Click on this and Google will send a postcard with a code to the address you provided for verification. There is also the option of receiving verification from Google over the phone. This allows Google to ensure that your company really exists!
When you receive the code (this usually happens within four days), go to the website address, which is also shown on the postcard, and enter the code there.
If the verification was successful, you already have a Google My Business profile. You can fill this with information ( address, description of your company with relevant keywords for your service ) and images ( if available of your shop or of your products (no exact specifications), a profile picture (250×250 pixels/72 dpi) and a header image (2120×1297 pixels/72 dpi) ).
