Step 5: Make sure Google can discover your internal links

Post by Rina7RS »

While indexing, Google may not fetch certain resources if it believes they do not contribute to the basic page content.

There are a few simple rules you should follow:

Google needs proper <a href> links to discover the URLs on your website.
If your link is only added to the DOM when someone clicks a button, Google won't see it.
Quite simply, many large companies make these mistakes.

Correct link structure
In order to crawl a website, Googlebot needs to have armenia mobile database traditional "href" links. Without providing it, Googlebot will not be able to access many of your pages!

I think Tom Greenway a Google representative explained it very well during the Google IO session:

Please note: If you have a proper <a href> link, and some extra parameters like onClick, data-url, ng-href, this will still be fine for Google.

A common mistake developers make: Googlebot cannot access the second and subsequent pages of a paginated page

Not letting Googlebot discover pages from the second page of pagination and beyond is a common mistake made by developers.
