What new metro stations will open in Moscow in 2025: where they are located and what they will look like

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the construction of about 40 new metro stations by 2030. The construction is envisaged by the city's development strategy . Four new stations will appear this year.

Troitskaya metro line – more than 43 kilometers and 17 stations

The new 16th metro line is marked in emerald on the map, and seven stations have already opened in 2024: Novatorskaya with a convenient transfer to the BCL, Universitet Druzhby Narodov, Generala Tyuleneva, Tyutchevskaya, Kornilovskaya, Kommunarka, and Novomoskovskaya. The seven new stations have improved transport accessibility for almost 900 thousand Muscovites.

The Troitskaya line will become one of the longest radii india mobile database of the Moscow metro and the largest outside the Moscow Ring Road. It will stretch from the ZIL station to Troitsk. The Emerald line will be 43.4 kilometers long and consist of 17 stations.

The Novatorskaya station will provide a transfer to the BKL (Big Circle Line), and the Akademicheskaya station will provide a transfer to the Orange Line.

The line is being built in several stages - the first was completed in 2024. It will have two transfers to the Moscow Central Circle, four transfers to other lines, and travel time to the capital's center will be reduced by 30-40 minutes.

The tunnels of the future line are being dug using the traditional Moscow Metro technology – with the construction of two single-track tunnels with a diameter of six meters. The maximum traffic intensity can be up to 36 pairs of trains per hour with intervals of up to one and a half minutes. The construction of the Troitskoye electric depot is planned to be completed in 2029-2030.
