How is work paid on holidays?

Work on holidays and weekends may only be done by agreement with the employee ( Article 113 of the Labor Code ). When paying wages, the number of holidays in a month is not taken into account - wages must be paid in full each month. And during vacation, the average wage must be maintained.
Without the employee’s written consent, work on holidays and weekends is possible in the following cases:
Prevention or elimination of the consequences of a disaster, industrial accident or natural disaster.
Prevention of accidents, destruction or damage to kuwait mobile database the employer's property, state or municipal property.
Performance of work, the necessity of which is due to a state of emergency or martial law, urgent work in emergency situations: fire, flood, famine, earthquake, epidemic, epizootic or the threat of their occurrence, in other cases that threaten the life or normal living conditions of the entire population or part of it.
Athletes, representatives of creative professions (media workers, theaters, circuses, cinema and others ) may be called to work on holidays and weekends in the manner established by the collective agreement or other local documents.
According to Article 153 of the Labor Code , work on holidays and weekends is paid at double the rate or at the standard rate with an additional day off. The employee makes the choice.
