At the latest event organized by the Inteligov Community, a space dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge and networking in the area of government relations , Raphael Caldas, founder and CEO of Inteligov, led an enlightening conversation with the organizers of the book " The People in Power ". Ângela Oliveira, Julia Vianna and Mariana Chaimovich, shared their perspectives on the vital role of the third sector and the urgent need for dialogue to mobilize and engage society.
Exploring the impact of government relations
Caldas began the event by highlighting the importance of the book "The People in Power" and how it contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex relationships between society and governments. He emphasized that the work offers a critical look at the dynamics between different sectors, a true manual for those seeking to understand and act in this dynamic scenario.
The book, as explained by Mariana, is one of the publications honduras mobile database that make up the collection of works by the publisher Diálogos, which is part of the Institute of Government Relations (Irelgov) , an entity whose ultimate goal is to be a space for thinking about the activities of the sector. In addition to bringing professionals in the area together, the institute also contributes to the design of good practices in the profession, such as participating in the regulation of lobbying in Brazil.
The idea of organizing the book came about when Irelgov opened a call for editorial projects. Julia, who said she had always been interested in this type of work, having worked on critical reading development programs in satellite cities of Brasília , realized that it would be interesting to demonstrate in a more structured way the initiatives and cases of action and representation of organized civil entities and spoke to Ângela about the project.
“When Julia invited me to put this idea on paper, I was super happy because, in addition to contributing to a social initiative, I also glimpsed the prospect of personal fulfillment ,” recalls Ângela.
One of the first experts to volunteer for the project was Eduardo Galvão, the creator of the Social Lobby initiative . Ângela says that the initiative addresses the education and training of young professionals and helps to legitimize the defense of interests, or lobbying as it should be called. This was, therefore, one of the crucial moments in defining what the thematic axes would be and who they should invite to participate in the book.
