Why readers don't comment on blogs

Comments are the most important source of motivation for a blogger. It reflects that it is a place where I can participate in a community that brings value to me.

I am fortunate to have a blog where every post now receives comments. It is even better. Readers' contributions improve my posts by providing additional information, different or opposing arguments, creating unique and complete content that I would be unable to generate in the hour I spend writing posts.

My case is different because I have been blogging for a while now and I am lucky to have a community that supports each other by answering questions when I cannot respond adequately. I estimate that japanese phone numbers list less than 5% of people who visit blogs comment on them. If in your case you are below 1% you are not really a strange case. At the beginning of a blog there are even fewer comments. Social networks have also done “damage” in this sense but they are not the only reason.

Normally, when you start writing, you don't feel like you're the only one reading your articles, you just are. When an external user lands on your blog for some strange reason, they see the social media counters at 0, there's no dust in the comment field, and the blog hasn't been updated for a couple of weeks, giving the impression of a town abandoned by its inhabitants.

Don't despair, because it's completely normal at the beginning. The hard part is to keep going for weeks until things get a little more lively. Many of the "big" bloggers have started the same way. The "trick" I've heard the most is to comment on your own blog. You don't have to invent a character (although some have done this too) but just add information through the comments instead of editing the post. This way the counter changes from 0 to 1 and you're not so scared of being the first to leave a mark on that post.
