Post by sakib40 »

MORE RIOTS BECKON: Ministers and police are bracing for more violence and disorder across the U.K. today, with riots being planned by far-right groups in more than 30 locations. The PM is warning anyone thinking of getting involved that they will face “the full force of the law,” while the government is threatening to bang up “keyboard warriors” inciting violence. Hacks will also be glued to the X account of the world’s most famous keyboard warrior to see if Elon Musk indulges in more inflammatory language about a country he knows little about.

Here we go again: Thousands of riot police are being put on standby to chinese overseas british database deal with further violence today, with immigration lawyers shaping up to be the primary target for far-right thugs. This is thanks to a series of messages being circulated on Telegram, including one encouraging people to “mask up” and target law centers that specialize in asylum applications. The FT’s Lucy Fisher reports that a Home Office document has listed 36 sites in danger of attack — including refugee shelters and lawyers’ homes.

Preparing for the worst: Senior police figures told the Times’ Steve Swinford and colleagues that “the outlook is bad” for the next 24 hours, but they are “ready to respond.” The Times also reports that Nottinghamshire Police are warning that one of the properties listed on Telegram is actually “home to an elderly person with vulnerabilities.” Grim.

**A message from Goldman Sachs: Small businesses are the engine of the UK economy and at the heart of their local communities. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a programme designed to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing access to education and business support. Discover the impact.**

Warning shot: The PM held his second COBRA meeting of the week on Tuesday night to coordinate a response to what would be a second week of civil unrest. Starmer tried to reassure the country in a broadcast clip after the meeting by saying people “will be safe” thanks to extensive preparations by police.
