Here's another good example. State a task that might be a problem for your audience. It might be organizing their office, cleaning out their closets , buying a new car, or taking their business to the next level. Explain why they might feel stuck and how to get unstuck.

People love email subject lines like this because they're irreverent and completely at odds with what they think a company might want to do. Do most companies want you to steal from them? Of course not.

But if you accept the "steal," you'll create a great relationship with your line database prospect. Offer them free resources related to your industry.

12. These 6 skills will pay the bills!
We love this subject line because it works on three distinct levels.

First, it uses a number. You may already know from research on writing headlines that numbers work extremely well when getting consumers to click.

I also like it because it suggests education. You'll be teaching your prospect something valuable—for free—that portrays you in a generous light.

Finally, it rhymes. You might think I 'm joking, but I'm not. People respond to puns even if they don't consciously realize it. They'll look twice at the topic line because of the rhyming words "skills" and "bills."
