7 fears I had before launching the blog and how I am overcoming them

Post by Abdur12 »

Do you want to have your own blog? You probably still have many doubts about what to write and whether anyone will read it. When I launched this blog two years ago, I had several fears that I had to face. If you want to know how I faced them, you have to read this post.

When I ran my first marathon, one of my biggest fears was not making it to the finish line and looking bad in front of everyone for not having made it. My second marathon was even worse. I wasn't afraid of not making it. This time the fear was related to the pain and suffering that awaited me from kilometer 25 onwards (or later if I was lucky). On March 25th I'm running my tenth marathon in Barcelona . My biggest fear is getting injured and after having trained hard to be 100% when the day comes, not being able to run it. So far I've been able to participate in all of them (knock on wood: “knock”, “knock”). Very often we are scared of things that haven't happened to us yet or where we have no experience.

Overcoming the fear of blogging

The fears we have are a barrier that prevents us from having the life we really want. Moving forward and evolving is not possible if we do not leave our comfort zone by trying new things with the risk of failure. When kenya phone numbers I started this blog almost 2 years ago I faced several of them. I have managed to overcome most of the following fears. I continue to live with others. I control them, not them me.

Pressing the “publish” button : I am convinced that the day I am no longer afraid of clicking “publish” I will stop wanting to be a good blogger. I try to put a little of myself into each post and I expose myself. I can make mistakes in what I say. You always run the risk of looking like an idiot with something you say. The important thing is to admit mistakes because none of us is perfect and can know everything.

Spelling and grammar mistakes : Most people who come to this blog don't know that I have never learned to write Spanish correctly. Even though I went to a Spanish school (3 hours a week, teacher from Uruguay) in Germany, I didn't learn it as a student born in Spain. I miss some expressions because I unconsciously make direct translations from German that are not correct. I have a Spanish passport but I have lived almost all my life in another country. Honestly, it bothers me not to write and speak 100% well. I think that writing the blog helps me to keep improving, although sometimes I am afraid that by making basic mistakes I look like an "idiot" who has never read a book in his entire life
