The digital multiple IIR notch filter, based on a novel design method, can materialize superior performance and fulfill the requirements set forth under category XIII(1) of OIML R 51, provided the conveyor belt running speed does not exceed 2.0 m/s.
Methodology
The mechanical vibrating components in a conveyor belt check weigher can induce periodic disturbances that will be suppressed using a digitally controlled IIR Notch filer, resulting in inland and reduced anchorage spacing.
