With Merchant Center, first-time advertisers had to manually add their products, prices, descriptions, images, etc. But that's over now, as Merchant Center Next is able to complete product feed setup automatically with information it collects from the advertiser's website.
There is also the possibility of deactivating this option or, once this automatic task has been completed, editing the resulting feed.

Merchant Center Next will offer advertisers a place to access statistics reports and evaluate the performance of their account , discover which products are best-selling, which businesses appear next to theirs and understand how consumers interact with their local business on Search and Maps, thanks to the creation of the “Performance” tab.
Joint management of physical and online store products
Merchants with both a physical and online store will be able to have a comprehensive view of all their products in Merchant Center Next , which will facilitate joint inventory management.
