We have called phase 2 of the SNIA " spreading AI in the economy ". With a budget of €1.5 billion. it involves focusing attention on AI products. therefore on the market. demand. need. uses and usage constraints. competition. costs and prices. possible monopolies or commercial barriers. It requires us to make choices that are inherently risky and strategic. These choices concern. for example. the commercial and development sectors on which it will be preferable to concentrate. and in return those that will be relatively neglected or even abandoned.

These choices must be based on an in-depth study of the need hungary telegram for AI in the long term. professional or personal. on quantified forecasts of business volumes as well as on our advantages and weaknesses with regard to foreign supply. An initial planning of phase 2 was carried out in 2021. In this new spirit that we wanted to give it. strategic choices of sectors were made. after being debated.

This involves focusing a particular effort on embeddability. frugality and trust. Developments in generative AI have been accelerating in recent months. offering new prospects for economic and social progress. If we have been developing generative AI in France for years. a few months ago almost all of us were surprised by the degree of anthropomimicry achieved by ChatGPT. It is more of a discovery than an invention: the machine has punctually passed the "Turing test". that is to say that by interacting with it. we were not able to distinguish it from a real homo sapiens. not thanks to a new idea but to the scale of the computing capacities and data mobilized by OpenAI for its development.
