Is a professional certificate the same as a vocational training qualification? If I complete a CP, can I access a vocational training module? Are my subjects validated? These are the most frequently asked questions that you send me through social networks and the blog about the difference between these two types of training. I'm sure you're eager to clarify all your doubts about both qualifications.
The new vocational training law: Organic Law 3/2022, of March 31, on the organization and integration of Vocational Training, has changed the way of understanding certificates, which were previously called "professional certificates" and are now Grade C vocational training qualifications.
Let's take a look back. A professional certificate is a document that accredits a worker with a professional qualification from the National Catalogue of Professional Competence Standards (almost all the professions that you can carry out in Spain are included in this catalogue). These certificates, which previously depended on the Ministry of malta phone data Labour and Social Economy and are now the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, accredit that you are qualified to carry out a work activity with significance for employment, that is, an occupation, and ensure the necessary training for it.
As indicated by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, “Vocational training in the educational system in Spain prepares students for activity in a professional field and to adapt to future changes in the workplace, as well as for their personal development and allows their progression in the educational system.”
Both certificates and FP include a period of internships in companies, which are mandatory to obtain the qualification. Its objective is to apply everything learned during theoretical training in a real professional environment.
How to get a professional certificate?
Through training: by completing all the modules of a professional certificate , either in full, in a single training program, or by completing the training modules separately, which would give you cumulative partial accreditations.
By accreditation of work experience: through vocational training centres, accreditation of skills acquired through work experience and non-formal means may be requested.
