5. Align Jobs To Be Done with Branding

Brands that are easily associated with a job have strong branding . Check out some examples of companies and the jobs associated with them:

search for answers: Google;
have more energy: Red Bull;
book accommodation: Booking.
So, work to make your brand or product easily recognizable as the solution to a job. This will save the consumer effort when thinking about what they need to do to solve something - your company will already be in their mind as the answer.

Which companies have had success with Jobs to Be Done?
McDonald's milkshake is a pretty didactic example of the taiwan phone data application of the Jobs to be Done methodology . But many other companies have already adopted this approach and have been very successful in launching new products or improving their existing portfolio.

1. Microsoft
In 2004, Microsoft needed to restart sales and add value to its Software Assurance offering.

By analyzing the work of the managers of the companies that contracted the service — IT managers and professionals — Microsoft perceived a series of needs that were not being met.

It was enough to adopt the consumer's vision to understand their expectations.

From a software lifecycle perspective , the company saw opportunities related to acquisition and deployment (early), maintenance, training and security (middle), and disposal of old computers (end).

The biggest discovery, however, was that the solutions had already been developed internally. That is, there was no need to start from scratch. All that was needed was to package the internal products for commercial use to meet the needs of the public.

In addition, there was also a revision in the marketing approach: instead of speaking of Software Assurance as a mere upgrade, the company began to treat the service as computer lifecycle management to adapt to changes.
