Select "Network and Internet".
Click Status or Ethernet/Wi-Fi (depending on your connection).
Open Properties and look at the IP.
How IP works
There are two types of IP addresses:

IPv4 is an old version, includes four parts from 0 to 255 ( 192.168.1.1 );
IPv6 is a modern version that contains 8 combinations of letters and numbers (2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334).

Let's take a closer look at how IPv4 works. It includes addresses from 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 - that's about 4.2 billion different IPs. This volume has already been exceeded, so IPv6 is now used.

Each address consists of two parts:

Network number - indicates which network we are uruguay telegram data connected to. Therefore, devices in the same network will have the same numbers.
Host address - identifies a specific device on the network.
Depending on the subnet, the number of bits that represent the network and host number may vary.

What is a subnet
Imagine a network that covers all employees of one company. At the same time, each department will have its own subnet. For example, the accounting department will have an IP address of 192.168.1.0 , and the marketing department will have 192.168.2.0 .

Employees can communicate freely within their department, but to communicate with other departments they need a router - a router that will unite several subnets.

It is easier to manage network settings (since the number of devices in a group is limited);
Higher security because you can restrict access between subnets;
