Reports in GA4: Compare, Filter, Edit

Post by tasmih1234 »

The reports place a strong focus on the lifecycle, users and events. As already mentioned, the traditional reports in UA (Universal Analytics) have been greatly simplified, so that there are now significantly fewer standard reports . In this sense, GA4 aims at the creation of your own reports , which can either be configured using “Customize report” (pen in the top right corner) or created in the “Expl. data analysis” menu item. This enables extensive analyses. Individual segments can also be integrated under the “Add comparison” option , which are then saved for all reports (as long as they are not removed). Since July 2022, filters can also be applied to the reports. As soon as you change the report, the filter is automatically removed again (unlike the comparisons). If required, custom reports with fixed filters can also be created.

home page
The homepage shows the most important KPIs with overview maps and diagrams. Measurement values can be selected individually via dropdown. The conversion rate, which is still so important in UA , can now also mexico mobile numbers list be selected here via dropdown since July 2022 after it was not available for a long time. There is now a user conversion rate and a session conversion rate.

The homepage uses machine learning, so that over time the most frequently used reports are displayed as overview cards. Also interesting here are the statistics and forecasts that gradually appear at the bottom of the homepage using machine learning.

If you would like to be regularly notified of relevant data changes, you can set up one or more alert functions below via "View all statistics" that will send a message by email if there are any data anomalies. You can either select from a template or set your own condition to receive anomalies or percentage changes by email.

real-time analytics
As in UA, there are still real-time reports in GA4, but these are much more detailed. In UA, depending on the report, you can see the current live data, while GA4 looks at the user data from the last 30 minutes (and also in parts per minute). In the real-time report you will find answers to the following questions:
How many users have been on my site in the last 30 minutes?
Where do the users come from? The source, medium or campaign can be considered.
Who are the users? By target group.
What content do users interact with on my site?
What events trigger the users?
What conversions have users triggered in the last 30 minutes?
Real-time activity streams from random users can also be accessed via “View user overview” at the top right. Comparisons can also be used as filters within the real-time reports.
