British researchers have identified the influence of various aspects of design and unique text content of a website on the level of trust from users. They confirmed the conclusion that the first impression of a portal or landing page is formed by its appearance.
At least 94% of the responses to the test questions about the site concerned the design: how complex and overloaded it was, how easy the navigation was, how unpleasant and irritating the design was overall (due to the abundance of text, inharmonious color combinations, small fonts, modal windows).
And only 6% of respondents talked about the information content of web resources. It is obvious that the aesthetic qualities of the site and the unique design determine the user's healthcare email list opinion almost entirely. The most negative reviews were caused by unsuccessful navigation: because of it, many respondents did not move beyond the main page.
Stanford University experts conducted a similar study and obtained even more interesting results: almost half of the subjects – 46.1% – judged the veracity of the information on the site solely by its visual and aesthetic characteristics: grid, typography, font sizes, color scheme.
What is the overall conclusion that can be drawn from these studies? Excellent, unique and thoughtful website design is an effective tool for retaining the user in the brand’s sphere of influence, while sloppy, outdated and tacky design instantly undermines trust in the resource and makes people leave it. For the average company, this means that the worse the design, the lower the conversion.
The Importance of Website Design
A unique website design (author's, exclusive, custom) is a real work of design thought. Forms, grid, proportions, individual elements - all this is created from scratch in accordance with the client's technical specifications. The resulting layout is individual and unique: you can be sure of not encountering a similar website on the Internet.
Websites with a unique design are also laid out from scratch. The code should be simple and understandable so that it can be easily maintained and scaled. The finished layout is “pulled” onto a CMS (the popular WordPress or some other), with which the resource owner can manage content, add elements and even partially change the appearance.
Making such a website takes time and effort. Why are customers willing to pay for it? What is so good about a website with a unique design compared to a cheap template solution? Let's try to figure it out.
Dissimilarity to competitors' websites
In a highly competitive environment, which is modern business, it is extremely important to stand out. Therefore, the demand for unique website designs, corporate identity and logo development, unusual signs and even office interior design is growing. However, if you need a temporary website to test some hypotheses, then you can get by with a template.
And if you are aiming for long-term work on brand promotion, then you cannot do without a recognizable corporate style and uniqueness. Far-sighted companies thinking about the future immediately try to differentiate themselves from competitors at the project launch stage.
