Be sure to examine your web resource for loopholes for hackers and eliminate them if they are found. There are a number of programs for searching for vulnerabilities of a WordPress site. Here are some of them:

Unmask Parasites - allows you to determine whether intruders have managed to penetrate the site and leave virus codes or spam on it.

ScanMyServer — gives you the opportunity to scan your resource every week for free, detects dangerous places and generates detailed reports. To use this service, you need to register (the procedure is also free) and put an image with a link to ScanMyServer in the footer of your web resource.

VirusTotal is a powerful tool that works with scanners such as Kaspersky, Yandex Safe Browsing, ESET, Dr. Web and others (more than 50 in total). With VirusTotal, you can examine the entire web platform, a single file or IP address.

WordPress Security Scan — scans WordPress-hosted sites for vulnerabilities. A subscription is required to perform detailed testing.

Norton Safe Web - part of the Norton suite, detects virus-infected software elements.

Acunetix — works with different sites (not just those based on WordPress). You can use a two-week free trial period, but you will have to register for it.

Sucuri SiteCheck — detects malicious or outdated software, various types of errors, checks whether your web resource is on a blacklist (the service currently has 9 lists available for verification).

Web Inspector — detects all kinds of viruses, trojans, phishing, backdoors, etc., identifies dangerous software components. Works quite quickly, generates a fairly detailed report.

The listed tools allow you to check a site for vulnerability online. But the data will be quite general if you use a free scanner. For a more in-depth analysis, you will still need to pay, for example, by purchasing a premium package.

You can use special plugins (one or more) to detect vulnerabilities. The system automatically updates both single-installed plugins on WordPress sites and those installed in Multisite mode.

Vulnerable Plugin Checker — examines plugins for vulnerabilities and other malfunctions. All you need to specify in the settings is your email address. The system will send reports to it twice a day.

WPScan — the application identifies vulnerabilities included in the WPScan Vulnerability Database list and reports their number to the administrator. Notifications about newly found weak spots are sent by e-mail.

Total Security — monitors the situation on your web site, immediately informs you of danger when it detects holes so that you can eliminate them. This plugin scans WordPress files, themes, plugins, and can independently change the authorization page, i.e. …/wp-login.php. The program does not independently solve all detected problems, but it generates a detailed report for you.
