Business Card Tip #4 – Use a Photo
A photo can be a great memory aid, a way to attract people's attention, a way to build trust. But: That won't work with a passport photo from a machine. A passport photo will always look like a passport photo. Explain to your photographer what you want to do with the photo and she will be able to advise you and take a good picture of you. If possible, ask her to "isolate" you, i.e. remove all background so that your photo can be positioned on the card without a distracting white or grey background or border.
Business cards are one of the cheapest advertising media you can use - don't cut corners here. The general rule is: print too many cards rather than benin telegram screening too few. A "reprint" is just as expensive as a "first print". Even if you don't have your cards printed digitally but using the offset process: the printing plates are not kept by the printers or are only kept for a very short time (they age and take up space). So if you notice after a relatively short time that your cards are used up, you just have to have new ones printed.
And that's why I recommend that you ask your local printer for a bulk offer or always check the price for the next print run at online printers. Often, double the amount only costs a handful of euros more. The general rule is: it's better to have too many than too few, and it's better to throw some away than have to produce new ones at great expense. If stored well, business cards last forever.
