I spent a year taking online courses, reading books, and learning about learning (...as a machine). This post is the fruit of that labor -- it includes 17 machine learning resources ( bahamas number data online courses, books, guides, conference presentations, etc.) that are the most affordable and popular machine learning resources on the web (through the lens of a complete beginner). I've also included a summary of "How I would approach this if I were starting over."

This article is not about credits or degrees. It’s about regular Joes and Joannas interested in machine learning, and who want to spend their learning time effectively. Most of these resources will require a commitment of over 50 hours. No one has time for tedious workweek waste (especially when it’s done during your personal time). The goal here is for you to find resources that fit your learning style.
