Anyone who has been part of an agency or a large brand/organization that got access to Facebook Ads in its early years knows how “secure” they were: creating fake profiles to manage the ad accounts, everyone at work sharing the same login and password for this profile and all those steps to get someone to be an admin for this account or Facebook page… oh, the memories. Hehehe!
Facebook Business Manager: The Ultimate Guide
Facebook has unveiled a new feature in Business Manager that aims to help users manage advertising accounts and privileges in a simpler and more consolidated way. In this guide, we’ll cover the ins and outs of this business tool so you can navigate the platform with ease. Let’s go!
What is Business Manager?
Facebook Description: A tool to help businesses and agencies manage their ad accounts, pages, and apps in one place.
What does the Business Manager offer?
There are 3 main benefits offered by Business Manager :
1. Ownership – Page and ad management can now be Business Manager properties instead of individual accounts/profiles.
I remember many situations where a company employee saudi arabia telegram data a page and then was fired or left the company to start another job.
Retrieving this page property has always been a hell of a headache. (and I've heard and experienced horror stories about employees not returning it).
2. Control – Since ownership of this page is in the Business Manager (which has its own separate login), it’s easy to see who has access to which pages, ads, etc.
3. Scale – With full control over who sees what , your social media manager can work on your Facebook page, your digital advertising agency can work on your ads, and executives can be added to keep a Thundera Eye on everything we’re doing.
What are the benefits of using it?
Invite new users to manage ad accounts, Facebook Pages, or apps from one central location.
Grant different levels of access to users based on management needs.
Have a single repository for all your payment funding sources.
Easily manage your agency collaborator relationships and permissions.
Organize your pages and advertising accounts into projects.
Useless resistance is, little Padawan.
I admire the die-hard advertisers who dig in their heels and refuse to comply with significant changes and evolutions until it is forced upon them as a rule.
But just like your fellow protesters against enhanced AdWords campaigns, my friends, change is inevitable. Resistance is futile. (translating the beginning there for you who don't speak English, ok?) :*
As of October 1, 2015, ALL GRAY ACCOUNTS have been moved to “READ” status.
It is no longer possible to actively manage advertising accounts or pages through these logins.
But Thiago! What are Gray Accounts?
Gray Accounts were logins that ONLY manage a page or ad account. If you had/have a Gray Account (which I highly doubt) don't worry because you can add it to your Business Manager .
How to Get Started with Business Manager (Phew!)
1. Appoint an administrator for your business or agency (preferably someone you trust) and create an account on Facebook Business Manager
IMPORTANT: Choose someone who already has admin access to all your pages for easy setup.
2. Migrate your pages, apps, and advertising accounts.
The admin who created the login and password now has to associate all ad accounts, pages and apps.
