The most famous fringe platforms
Platforms like Gab are also called ‘fringe platforms’. Fringe platforms are online channels that are fed and controlled by the reader. These types of platforms are known as the channels where brand stories get derailed and crises are created.
Another example of a fringe platform is Digg . This is a 'democratic' news site. The stories with the most votes (diggs) are placed at the top of the website (and are therefore read even more often). What the news of the day is, is therefore determined by the users. Not by the platform itself.
Mix (formerly StumbleUpon): shares random news within your specified interests;
Xing : similar to LinkedIn, and the most popular in this list;
Reddit : This platform is also called 'the front page of the internet'. It is the perfect platform to address niche audiences. This 'news site' works by means of upvotes and downvotes. (Just like Dumpert, but there they are called kudos.)
Video platform Twitch
Another platform that is also increasingly attracting interest in the Netherlands is Twitch whatsapp number list This platform has mainly created fame by following e-sports. Well-known or talented e-athletes of well-known games (think FIFA, Fortnite and World of Warcraft) stream their game, where you can watch along.

As you can see above, you are watching along with the gamer (seen on the right of the screen). The viewers can chat with each other at the same time.
But lately Twitch has also become known for other activities. For example, I got to know Twitch because Smeerboel (a festival organization) organized The Big Smeerboel Christmas Bingo Show via Twitch. But also the storming of the Capitol could be followed live via Twitch.
Anyone can make broadcasts on this platform, via their own channel. Of course about self-chosen subjects.
