If either of these candidates can gain support of at least 15 percent of the national electorate, they would then be able to participate in the upcoming televised presidential debates which are seen by tens of millions of Americans. That could mean a huge shift in the political climate and the opportunity for a third party to emerge into the mainstream.

On the Issues clothes-hangers-147765_1280Abortion
Both Jill Stein and Gary Johnson believe that abortion is a woman’s right and that the government shouldn’t intervene on that decision.

Gary Johnson believes that EPA regulation is too restrictive and that it hurts businesses. On the other hand, Dr. Jill Stein believes in protecting the environment as her number one issue. With this being said, she is all for EPA regulation to help save our planet.

Gary Johnson and Jill Stein both believe that same-sex marriage is valid and that it isn’t up to the government to tell you who you are and aren’t allowed to marry.

The candidates have two very different views on gun control. Jill Stein wants to increase background checks on gun purchases as well as ban assault weapons. On the other hand, Gary Johnson fully supports gun telegram number list rights to every citizen. It’s in the constitution and Johnson doesn’t agree with adding any more government control.

Jill Stein is a strong advocate for green energy as she believes that it will help save our planet from a destructive path. She wants to put the United States on a path to 100% renewable energy by 2030. Gary Johnson believes in keeping the environment safe by some regulations but does not believe that the government should be “manipulating the energy marketplace” by giving funding to green energy corporations.

Both candidates support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants living in the United States.

Both candidates agree that we need to shrink the size of our military and our involvement in other countries. However, Jill Stein is a little more progressive on this front as she wants to reduce military spending by at least 50 percent overall.
