We Spaniards complain a lot on social media… and that is very relevant for your brand

NOr everything is rosy. It is impossible to feel joy and positivity all day, every day. We are human beings and we have the right to complain and feel bad. However, the "X-ray of an overwhelmed Spain" , a recent study carried out by Btravel, shows the level of emotional saturation that we Spaniards suffer and how we reflect it on social networks.


To carry out the study, the places where most communications are currently presented were analysed: social networks, websites, blogs, review sites, television and radio. To do this, more than 500 media iceland number data outlets and digital channels were monitored in the period from April 2022 to April 2023 , something that was made possible with the global listening platform DRS, Digital Room Surveillance, from Manifiesto.

More than 1,000 complaints per hour
The first conclusion reached is that 66% of Spaniards are emotionally saturated (at least, that is what is denoted by our communication on social networks) due to the problems that surround us. This causes about 34,000 negative comments to be generated daily, 1,428 complaints per hour and 23 negative comments per minute.
