The PEPPOL standards
Among the standards for interoperability, PEPPOL has introduced above all the PEPPOL Business Interoperability Specifications (BIS) , technical specifications for the definition of processes, documents, formats and paths to be transmitted and received within the PEPPOL infrastructure.
These specifications are divided into two different areas of the procurement cycle documentation :
Post-award “BIS” Specifications and Guidelines.
The former refer to “pre-award” documents, tenders and tender austria phone data management procedures. The latter instead refer to “post-award” documents, therefore after the stipulation of the contract between customer and supplier. It is especially these latter documents that have been implemented in electronic format in various innovative projects, in Europe, but not only.
An example is the implementation of the Electronic Order, through the Order Sorting Node (NSO), in Italy , which is based on technical standards defined by PEPPOL , but whose specifications also concern other types of documents, relating to the entire order cycle process: order, invoices, credit notes, transport documents (DDT).
