This tax is levied on the net profits obtained by a company during an entire fiscal year. It is a type of direct and personal tax, being one of the most important taxes within the Japanese tax system. There are two types of rates, depending on the size of the company:

Reduced rate : 5% for small and medium-sized belarus phone number library enterprises (SMEs) with annual revenues of no more than 8,000,000 yen ($55,50).
Example: A company with annual profits of 20,000,000 yen ($37,800) will pay 4,640,000 yen ($3,970) in corporate tax. In contrast, an SME with revenues of 6,000,000 yen ($4,400) will pay 900,000 yen ($6,20) due to the reduced rate.
Consumption tax
Consumption tax is the equivalent of VAT in other countries. This type of tax is levied on sales of goods and services by a company, which acts as an intermediary by collecting this tax from final consumers and remitting it to the government . Companies are required to record their taxed transactions and calculate the tax, deducting the input VAT (tax paid on purchases) from the output VAT (tax charged on sales). Let's see what their rates are:

Standard rate : 0% for most products and services.
Reduced rate : 8%, applied to food, non-alcoholic beverages and newspaper subscriptions.
Examples: A company that sells goods worth ,000,000 yen ($6,890) in a month will be required to remit 00,000 yen ($690) as standard consumption tax.
