Candid Stories

Candid Stories is Instagram’s answer to BeReal. On Instagram, you can now post one candid photo per day taken with both the front and back cameras on your phone. The idea is to show something real and filter-free.

Just like BeReal, you can dismiss selfie notifications, but if you do, you won’t be able to see what others have posted.

According to Instagram, you can “capture Candid Stories from the Stories camera, multi-author Stories at the top of your feed, or from the daily notifications you start receiving after your first Candid Story. ”

Add your stickers

When you’re viewing a story, you’ll see an “Add your own story” prompt inviting you to contribute your own story. This isn’t a new feature, but what Instagram has added is a new “pass it on” prompt

If a story isn’t right for what you want to post, you uae phone number list can pass the add story prompt to a friend or colleague to invite them to post it.

Add a note

In addition to BeReal, Instagram is also testing a more Twitter-like feature with its new Notes. Users can now add updates to their profiles that are only available for text and emojis.

You can post up to 60 characters, and the update will stay for 24 hours, just like a temporary note. Your friends will be able to reply to your update, which will appear in your text messages.

The new Notes feature is available to users on December 13. So check if you already have it and start trying it out.
