What is Google Cloud INSIDE Digital?

Post by ishanijerin1 »

Hello everyone. This is Namikawa from the Human Resources Department.

Although it was cold until recently, the temperature has risen since the beginning of March, and spring has suddenly arrived. It's nice that it's getting warmer, but it seems that hay fever, which is now said to be a national disease, will increase even more this year. Everyone, please take good care of your health!

This time, two of our engineers spoke at Google Cloud INSIDE Digital, which was held on Thursday, March 7th, so we would like to share with you what happened there.

An event that will bring you behind-the-scenes self employed database information on the development of popular Internet services and technology updates, focusing on Google Cloud Platform.

This time, the theme was "The first step in commercial use of GCP, which you can only hear here," and in addition to iRidge, Sansan Co., Ltd. and LIFULL Co., Ltd. were also in attendance. There were about 200 participants (that was a lot!), and the event proceeded with each company being assigned 25 minutes for a session.

Two speakers from iRidge were Senior Expert Engineer Park Jun-yong and Engineer Yamaguchi Masao from the popinfo Group, which develops and operates its own services.

Eyeridge Theme:

[Introduction to the platform that collects location information in real time, takes action (notifications), and analyzes it, and examples of its use]
iRidge's O2O solution "popinfo," which has 130 million active users, handles a large amount of location information. It collects location information in real time (Cloud Pub/Sub, Google App Engine), notifies in real time (Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Memorystore), and analyzes/visualizes (Cloud Composer, BigQuery), and introduced examples of using Google Cloud Platform products along with the process flow.

During the presentation, the event participants were taking pictures of the slides, taking notes frequently, and listening intently, which made me very happy. It seems that they also tweeted a lot about it on Twitter.

Once the event is over, we move straight to the social gathering.

I was excited to be able to visit the Google cafe, so I headed to the venue. There was a unique object at the entrance, or rather a space, where everyone was taking photos. What kind of world was that?
