How to get started

Post by Arzina3225 »

Agile working, by now everyone is talking about it. Is it time to delve into it? What is agile? How do you get started? And what can it mean for you and your organization? Discover everything about the agile mindset and agile methods such as scrum.

Do you still believe that agile is a hype? That only applies if you work for an organization where everything is guaranteed to remain the same as 10 years ago. Never. The world is globalizing and digitalizing, and at an ever-increasing pace. Current ways of organizing no longer fit. Most work in organizations today is not simple, standard, manageable and predictable. Instead, it is complex, dynamic and unpredictable. I think this video explains it very nicely and clearly:

This is why a more agile and much more flexible approach is needed. And that is literally what the English word agile stands for. The book Agile werken in 60 minuten (aff.) explains to people – who know nothing about agile –:

What agile is

And what it can mean for you philippines whatsapp number free personally and for your organization
Agile is a mindset
The authors emphasize that agile is first and foremost a mindset. A way of looking, doing, acting and feeling. They visualize that as follows:

This diagram gives the impression that all these dimensions are discussed structurally. The authors do discuss the principles implicitly in the paragraphs about the agile manifesto and in the last chapter 'How to become Agile yourself'. Nevertheless, it would not hurt to name and explain all 12 of them.

Of the approaches, only scrum is discussed extensively. The authors only mention Lean and Kanban (more on that later) very minimally. Unfortunately, the methods are not discussed. But okay, the manifesto.
