questions regarding implementation

Post by suchona.kani.z »

Companies have to meet the legal requirements and take the case law into account. Measures must be derived and implemented accordingly. A company should first consider and determine whether and, if so, which other goals should be achieved with the implementation. If a company goal with regard to diversity is to be perceived internally and externally as a modern and progressive company, it is certainly not enough to simply expand the salutation field on the company website to include the option "diverse". But even if companies decide to only meet the legal requirements, they still have a lot of work to do.

I would like to use an example to illustrate the questions a company might be confronted with, among others: Suppose a company wants to expand the form of address in the relevant systems to include the new zealand consumer email list option "diverse" and implement a non-binary form of address in the relevant documents. Now the company should first ask itself where gender-specific forms of address have been used up to now. This is typically the case in IT systems, such as offer, partner, administration and printing systems, as well as on the company website, in preprinted forms and forms (online/offline), letters, emails, text modules and texts.

The (possibly outdated) system landscape with its systems must be analyzed:

In which systems does an adjustment need to be made?
How (and by whom) should the customization be carried out?
When can the adjustment be implemented?
What effects does the adaptation or extension of the data field for the form of address have on the interfaces and surrounding systems?
When can the adaptation (and by whom) be tested and used productively?
In addition, numerous questions arise regarding internal and external communication. These include:

Where are adjustments necessary?
Should there be a special salutation for people with non-binary gender identity or should the letter salutation be general (i.e. independent of gender identity)?
If applicable: What should the general letter salutation be in the future?
For example, are there letters or text blocks in which the salutation of the addressed person is used again in the middle of the text?
Do forms need to be adapted and replaced? If so, where should they be stored?
Do procedures/work instructions need to be drawn up?
