General press release
News about a company going public
This is an official announcement of any topic that is worth reporting and falls into the news category. It can also be topics relevant to a specific industry.
Press releases for events
It's basically just that, an event, and the timing of publication is very important. If it's too early… everyone forgets. And if it's too late… they already have other commitments. The best option is to send them the information well in advance but indicating a specific publication date, normally two weeks before the event.
