How Dynamic Call Tracking Works Using Mango as an Example / Mango Office
The dynamic call tracking (DCT) scheme is as follows:
First, you need to connect the Call Tracking service to your MANGO OFFICE PBX, select the advertising channels that dynamic call tracking will track, and place the call tracking widget code (essentially, a js script) on your site. Every time a new user visits the site, dynamic call tracking will determine the source, advertising channel, advertising campaign, and region from which the user came, and assign them a unique phone number.
This is a "substitute" number portugal email list that the visitor will see on the site instead of the main number of your organization. Let's say the user Sergey Sergeevich will see the number 7 495 678 65 63 on the site, and Ivan Ivanovich - 7 495 223 27 25.
When a user calls a substitute number, dynamic call tracking remembers all the data about him and links it to the call information. This information is posted in the form of convenient reports on the Personal Account website. It allows you to find out how many unique users came from each channel, how many of them called the company, how many calls were high-quality (i.e. lasted longer than the set value) and how many calls came in total. Dynamic call tracking can transfer this data to Google Analytics, Yandex.Metrica and CRM systems for further analysis.
How are phone numbers allocated?
The database contains a common pool of phone numbers for all visitors, consisting of hundreds of thousands of numbers. When a person visits the site, the dynamic call tracking widget takes a free number from the pool and inserts it into the site, demonstrating it to the user. This number is assigned to the user for the entire period of his stay on your web resource, until he closes the page, and for some time after he leaves the site (from 5 minutes to half an hour). By going to the settings of your widget, you can adjust the time of assigning a phone number to a site visitor.
As long as the number is assigned to the user, dynamic call tracking stores the collected data about him: what advertising channel he came through, what queries he entered, what region he is from, UTM tags, etc. At the end of this period, the information is deleted and the number is given to the next site visitor. Thus, the allocated number is assigned to the site widget so that users who decide to call later can reach you.
How long is the replacement number assigned to the site?
With a fairly high and uniform site traffic, the number will be permanently assigned to it and will pass from one user to another. If traffic decreases and the number is not used for two weeks, it will return back to the number database. It records the date of the last display on the site for each phone number, and the downtime of the phone number is counted from this date.
When a phone number is added to the database, it is placed at the end of the queue and is not assigned to new users until all numbers returned before it have been used. That is, new widgets receive free numbers that have been in the database for quite a long time and have not yet been assigned to other widgets. This guarantees protection against untargeted calls.
