The SMART goal setting method was developed in 1954 by the US teacher, publicist and economist Peter Drucker. He is the author of hundreds of publications in such influential publications as The Wall Street Journal and Harvard Business Review, as well as about four dozen books. Another important merit of his is his participation in the development of management theories and innovative economics.
