Beyond 1,000 sessions per day,

Post by fomayof928@mowline »

During our experience with SEO split testing, we've developed a rule of thumb: If a site section of similar pages doesn't receive at least 1,000 total daily organic sessions, it's going to be very difficult to measure any improvement from your split test. If you have less traffic than that on the pages you're testing, any indication of a positive or negative test result will outweigh the level of uncertainty involved.

in general, the more traffic you have, the less growth you can detect. So far, the smallest effect we've measured with statistical confidence is a few percent. In addition to having a good amount of traffic argentina number data to a section of your site, you need to make sure that your traffic is well distributed across a large number of pages. If more than 50% of the organic traffic to a section of your site is going to three or four pages, it means that your test is experiencing fluctuations in the performance of those pages that are unrelated to the test.

This can lead you to conclude that the change you are testing is having an effect when in fact it is being influenced by an unrelated factor. By distributing traffic well across the entire section of your site, you ensure that this fluctuation by page will even itself out and you can be more confident that the effect you are measuring is real. 3. Arbitrarily bucketing pages In CRO tests, the best practice is to randomly assign each user to a control and a different group.
