Post by Mitu100@ »

Exercise #14: The Superlative
What was the most embarrassing situation in your life? What was the best moment? What was the worst vacation?

Now you can exaggerate. Yes, you have to exaggerate.

This exercise is intended to train the art of hyperbole (linguistic exaggeration).

"It felt like an elephant kicked me in the balls."

“The food tasted like five other people had eaten it before me and then vomited it up again.”

"I was more in love than Jack and australia phone number list Rose in Titanic."

Just hit the keys.

It looks like this: fx<ÖIDOASASÄ-DFads oil.

What does that remind you of? Austria? Cologne? East Germans? Finnish? A mathematical equation?

Build on that.

Free-writing is based on not thinking and just letting your fingers flow. It's a wonderful way to overcome writer's block .

Exercise #16: What if…
What if Germany had won World War II? What if you had never met your current partner? What if you had been born in a different city?

Write it down.

You can play great mind games and train your creativity. Don't forget: your brain is a muscle. Only training will make you and your writing style better.
