Older, non-standard Periscope metrics

Post by Rina7RS »

Why do my Periscope live analytics results differ from what I see in Producer in Media Studio?
There are many reasons why the data from the two sources may not be consistent:

The metrics tracked by the Periscope website and app were originally created many years ago to show rough views analytics. They have not been updated to industry standards, including the MRC viewability metrics that influenced X's own standard viewability guidelines.

Periscope metrics may also become coarser rather than more precise albania telegram data as X and the Periscope app are updated. In contrast, X platform metrics are continually analyzed and carefully checked to ensure that the thresholds for view metrics do not change over time.

Normalized and Filtered Data
When viewing analytics for a live stream in Producer in Media Studio, you'll see a small note that says "Final views data may take up to 3 hours to be published." This is because all viewability metrics shown in Media Studio pass through spam and normalization filters to ensure the data is more reliable. You may see slightly higher numbers in your live stream metrics at first, then lower; this is due to the filters, and the 3 hours is a rough estimate of how long it will take to ensure the data is accurate.
