Will the plugin overwrite the URL address during migration?

Post by Habib01 »

You install it on the site you want to migrate,
Click on “export”,
You install it on your landing page,
Click “import” and import the previously created file.
Confirm the database overwrite with a click and you're done.

Easy.

Yes. The plugin automatically rewrites not only URLs but also database tables. This avoids many potential pitfalls that could arise during manual migration.

Migration is not going through, what could be the problem?
For the migration to succeed, it is important to make sure that:

Both websites (old and new) have a version either with www. or without —> anyway, they both have it the same
Both sites have the same PHP version (whether 7.4 or 8 doesn't matter)
Both sites have/or both do not have an HTTPS certificate
If the websites differ in any of the above parameters, the migration may not succeed.
