Samsung will include a facial recognition system in its next terminal

Samsung seems to be trying to catch up with Apple and prevent its competitors from getting ahead in terms of features. That's why the company is planning to equip its new Galaxy S8 phone with facial recognition.

And just a few days after Apple announced that it was working on facial recognition for the next iPhone , Samsung is reporting that the next phone they release in the spring will have it, in addition to the iris scanner and the fingerprint reader.

"Due to the limits of iris scanning, such as nepal phone data speed and accuracy, we have decided to add facial recognition to the Galaxy S8 ," a Samsung official told the Korea Economic Daily.

The company also claims that it will take users less than 0.01 seconds to unlock their phone. However, it is not yet 100% clear what the new Galaxy S8 will look like.

The new terminal is scheduled for release on March 29 , with shipments of this one at the end of April. So there are still a few weeks left to be able to check out the new features of the Galaxy S8.
